Friends of Clark Athletics
The Friends of Clark Athletics was founded in 1990 for the purpose of increasing the visibility
and broad based support for the intercollegiate varsity teams. Members of Friends, including alumni,
parents, and friends, provide supplemental funding to teams and to three annual projects: the athletic
awards program, team travel enhancement, and the Athletic Hall of Fame.
Contributions from Friends have supported a range of projects and programs. Donations have enhanced
the travel budget, allowing teams to compete and train in such places as Iowa, California, Florida, and
Ireland. In addition, Friends has provided funding for the following items; a swimming timing system, a
baseball pitching machine, video equipment, a sound system, a crew tent, and championship banners. Anyone
interested in becoming involved in the Friends of Clark Athletics should contact Pam Moore in Clarkâs
Athletic Department at (508) 793-7160 or via e-mail. Members
receive seasonal newsletters, invitations to special athletic events and free admission to home basketball
games. Members are also eligible to serve on the Hall of Fame committee.
