We strongly urge you to start the application process as early as possible, usually during the first term of your senior year in high school. The more time you give yourself and the people writing your recommendations, the smoother the process will go.

Liberal arts college + small research university = the best of both worlds
- Liberal arts college: A place to investigate your world from a variety of perspectives, by learning to use the thinking skills and tools of scientists, social scientists, humanists, and artists.
- Research university: A place with graduate programs where you can collaborate with learners at all levels of experience—from undergraduates to graduate students to faculty—to contribute to new knowledge.
Is there a Clark fit?
There is no one Clark "fit." If you are academically motivated to learn in a community of students who respect and learn from each other's differences, and are socially motivated to make a difference in the world, then Clark might be for you.
Our student community is diverse, international and open-minded. Clark is a place where students feel comfortable in their own skins—comfortable enough to want to live and study with students who hold different views and perspectives from themselves. Comfortable enough to take their academic passions beyond the classroom to learn through hands-on fieldwork, internships and study abroad experiences. Comfortable enough to use those "active learning" experiences to make an impact on the Clark community and the world.
